deceptively small

just received my BEAR III bag and a little disappointed , the bg was small then it looks in the pics( I should've looked at the dimensions), I really all the see through pockets , there is definitely a lot storage space but the space isn't big enough for everything I carry, suck running vest a change of clothes towels etc.... but all the supplements and all my braces and phone holders fit in the pockets very nicely , I think I may return it for something much bigger, on the other had this bag would be perfect for easy days and smaller races, it is made very well and I like the company , fast delivery as well.

First off, thank you for taking the time to let me know your thoughts. As one of two who steer this ship, I strive to ensure that everyone who invests in one of my bags loves it. All issues are also my issues.

In regard to your disappointment with the size, I don't believe the right word is deceptive. As you mentioned, there are dimension specs to understand the size of each bag.
Also, if you look at the product gallery, there are photos that show the bag being used in real time. This gives a very good idea of its size compared to a person.

The next size up is the KODIAK. It's a little bigger than two BEAR III's. It was designed to be a travel, crew, long event, everything gear bag. It's also TSA size approved. While it functions a little differently than the BEAR III, it has it's own unique design to compartmentalize gear. I will email you to see if you'd possibly like to go that route instead.

I thank you for your kind words in consideration of the best uses for the BEAR III, its quality, and our service. As I mentioned, we take pride in ensuring every supporter's (I don't like the word customer) expectation and satisfaction is met across the board.

Sturdy, well made!

Second victory product for us (for ultrarunner husband actually), graduated to the bear for use during his 100s while we'll keep the smaller bag for post-race recovery needs. Really love all the clear pouches in the bear and how it opens up completely. He's excited to use it in the fall! Customer service was great as well - worked directly with victor to figure out a way to fit my text on the custom tag when i forgot to add it in the order, and everything made it to me in just a few days. Two thumbs up!

BEAR III bag

Received my order quickly, even during the Christmas holiday mailing period. Love both bag colors, red and blue. Haven't used bags yet, bur I think they are well designed so that stuff can be kept in them in a very orderly fashion. Seem to be made with quality materials and craftsmanship. Can't wait to use them during ultra's next year.

So close to perfect

So this bag is amazing with one single design flaw. The insulated water bottle pouches don’t fit a single water bottle I own from Nalgene bottles to camelback bottles nothing fits in them. Why include them if they don’t fit anything. The organization is AMAZING and I may even buy the bigger bag for future races for crewing duties. I can’t recommend this bag enough but man do I not understand the point of the bottle holders.

<br>Thanks for your great feedback. I'm not sure if you received my email reply regarding your question about the water bottle holders. They fit many different styles of 16oz bottles. The reason for restricting them to that size is limited to the need for keeping the bag's dimensions in line with what most 100 mile races require. I'll send you a few 16oz bottles to use in the holders! All is not lost. Believe me, they do exist. Cheers!</p>

Bear = Happy Ultra Runner

Bear was just what I’ve needed for self-supported virtual and crewed in-person ultras! Size and organization have been perfect for preparing for different needs and layouts (hotter and dry/rainy, colder and rainy) for both gear and fuel. Pretty indestructible, too (phew!). Sooooo glad I finally brought a Bear home :)
